The Florence Crittenton Agency is seeking an Alcohol & Drug Counselor to work in the Youth Summit of Recovery Program.  The Alcohol and Drug Counselor is responsible for assisting in the coordination of A&D residential services and providing professional substance abuse counseling on the unit for adolescents.  The position provides quality youth care and close, intensive supervision of adolescent clients in a residential setting.  In addition, this position is responsible for providing a range of residential support groups, individual and family counseling, skills training, and lectures for the educational purpose of the enhanced substance abuse program.  This position will also assist in the tracking and reporting of adolescents’ treatment progress and providing peer leadership.  The Alcohol & Drug Counselor will provide supervision, tracking, and assist in staffing the unit as needed for the success of the program. 



Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree with LADAC, preferred.
  • Alcohol and Drug certification and experience;
  • Participation in the Tennessee substance abuse certification curriculum required;
  • License in the social services field preferred;
  • Ability to Multi-Task;
  • Must possess organization and computer skills (data entry concerning case files on Agency network and Government networks will be required);
  • Ability to be proactive and follow-through on projects with minimal supervision.
