The Florence Crittenton Agency is seeking an IOP Community Impact Counselor (Square One) position for scheduling and providing individual and family therapy for their caseloads as determined by insurance, courts and treatment team. The Square One Counselor will monitor caseloads participation in group.  Job responsibility includes, but is not limited to, completing clinical assessments, getting authorizations from insurance, developing and maintaining a treatment plan for each youth, writing session notes within 24 hours of a session, participating in CFTMs as needed, participate in Utilization Reviews, attending treatment teams to discuss therapeutic direction of each youth, setting up appointment times for individual and family therapy, maintaining files as required by FCA, insurance, and COA, submitting monthly documentation to youth’s case worker, and any other job duties as they are assigned by administrator or upper management.  The Square One Counselor will maintain training requirements in TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing and other needed areas to ensure that he/she continues to grow and develop and the quality of care for youth served increases and improves. This position may be part of ratio during business hours as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications: The Square One Counselor must have a Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology, and have experience in therapy, preferably in substance abuse. Knowledge in TFCBT, Motivational interviewing and other therapeutic models will be of benefit.

Physical Requirements (BFOQ):
  • Ability to participate in TCI restraint training as required
  • Ability to verbally communicate clearly in English so as to make presentations
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods
  • Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, step climbing steps
  • Keyboarding abilities
  • Able to travel as required
  • Lift up to 30 pounds
  • Work extended hours as needed ( >40 per week)
