RESPONSIBILITIES:
              

The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination of the residential services, and providing professional development for staff on the units with the assistance of the assistant program manager.  The position provides quality youth care, and close intensive supervision of staff and adolescent clients in a residential setting.  In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring completion of a range of residential assessments, treatment planning, support groups, individual and family therapy, skills training, and lectures for the educational purposes. This position will oversee the tracking and reporting of adolescent’s treatment progress and will provide appropriate staff leadership.  The Program Manager will assist with referrals and oversee all admissions to the unit, while managing multiple priorities and program components. This position may be part of ratio as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as needed and /or assigned by management. This position will be in rotation of on call for the Agency.

 

 1.            The role of the Program Manager is to understand the principal method for monitoring the treatment model, and ensuring the quality of care for the treatment unit, supervision of the treatment, staff and adolescents.  Manager will be familiar with and have an understanding of addiction and trauma that includes treatment knowledge, understand terms, and concepts that are related to the theory, etiology, research, and practice.

 

2.            Manager will meet with staff in order to monitor job performance, provide professional development, and ensure a high quality of care and treatment for all adolescents on each unit.

 

3.             Manager must be knowledgeable about the continuum of care, the social context that affects the treatment, recovery process, and participate in weekly DCS and treatment team meetings.

               

 4.           Manager will provide case management and group therapy to adolescents and families in the absence of the Case Manager as deemed appropriate. Manager must have the ability to communicate oral and written information clearly.

 

  5.          Manager must communicate with his/her supervisor to convey pertinent safety and treatment issues or any concerns about the unit.

 

  6.          Manager will oversee / complete assessments, treatment plans, contact notes, discharge plans, and supervise all treatment components for adolescents on the units. Manager will be responsible for coordination of treatment team, treatment direction on the units, and adherence to the treatment model.   Manager will oversee all staff and ensure that all treatment components are being met for the adolescents.

 

7.             Manager will provide 24 hour on-call crisis intervention, and screen admissions to the level II program as assigned and on a rotating schedule with the assistant program manager.  This position may be part of ratio as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as needed and/or assigned by management.  When serving in direct care of clients, will be knowledgeable of whereabouts of residents at all times; Knowledge of whereabouts and direct supervision of all adolescents, including daily room checks and documentation of adolescent’s presence on the tracking chart for every 20 minutes, or sooner, as situations arise, and safety plans dictate or warrant for client safety.

 

  8.          Manager will identify and educate staff about the influence that a client’s culture, lifestyle, gender, and any other relevant factors may have on behavior and treatment.

 

  9.          Manager will provide/oversee completion of necessary documentation related to adolescents’ progress, plans for transition, engagement of family, and treatment goals.

 

  10.        Manager must understand and apply specific agency policies and procedures for handling crisis and / or dangerous situations, including safety measures for adolescents and staff.

 

11.         Manager will be responsible for the interviewing and hiring of staff as outlined by the agency manual.

 

12.          Manager will train Assistant Program Managers, Case Managers and Transporter on all of their job duties.  Manager will provide weekly oversight of all direct reports and create appropriate development goals for subordinates.

 

13.           Manager will be responsible for monitoring of overtime and hold staff accountable. Manager will review and approve work schedules on a weekly/monthly basis for the Assistant Program Manager.

 

14.          Manager will perform other related duties as assigned or required for the success of the unit.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree from an accredited college in Social Work or related behavioral filed (if the degree is in criminal justice there must be a juvenile justice component). Licensed Clinician – LPC, LCSW, LMFT, preferred. Knowledge and experience with adolescents with alcohol and drug issues, as well as dual diagnosis. Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a residential setting.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to participate in TCI restraint training as required(BFOQ)
  • Ability to verbally communicate clearly in English
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods
  • Bending, stooping, squatting
  • PC/Keyboarding abilities
  • Lift up to 40 pounds
  • Work extended hours as needed (>40 per week)

$4,000 sign-on bonus after complete 6 months employment
