Maintenance Worker/On-Call rotation

The Florence Crittenton Agency, Inc. is one of Tennessee’s leading social service providers, offering an array of 24/7/365 residential and outreach programs designed to strengthen communities through effective prevention and treatment services to children, youth, and families. We are accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA).

The Florence Crittenton Agency is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker/On-Call rotation position to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to agency facilities, equipment, vehicles and furnishings. Repair and/or replace HVAC equipment, appliances, kitchen equipment, and lighting fixtures. Assist in the coordination of volunteer labor. Perform basic carpentry and electrical work. Provide on-call, after-hours emergency assistance.

The essential functions, include but are not limited to:
HVAC maintenance, repair and replacement; Carpentry - interior and exterior; Plumbing;
Floor and tile installation; Equipment repair and maintenance; Sheetrock repair, painting and wallboard installation; Assist property manager with various projects; Special event set-up;
Coordination of Maintenance projects and completion of service requisitions; Assist with coordination of volunteer labor; Accompany and oversee vendors/contractor labor on site;
Ensure cleanliness of roof valleys, guttering and flat roof drains; Basic electrical including but not limited to lighting and/or bulb replacement; Vehicle safety inspections; Various Landscape projects as assigned; Agency security, safety and property inspections; Documentation of preventive maintenance schedules

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years’ training or experience in equipment repair, sheetrock repair, carpentry, plumbing, painting and flooring installation.  HVAC repair experience.
Previous experience in the use and operation of basic power tools and some heavy equipment including but not limited to Skid Steer operation, bobcat operation, etc.
Able to read and apply instructions (i.e., manuals, etc.)
Ability to think clearly in a level-headed manner
Ability to multi-task
Ability to adhere to all safety practices
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
Ability to respond to after hour emergency calls, within 1-6 hours, depending on the situation

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb a ladder repetitively
Lift up to 75 lbs.
Stand for extended periods of time
Squat, stoop, crawl, and reach/stretch
Walk across the campus multiple times per day
Move heavy equipment
